Glenfiddich 12 Year Old American Oak is a new expression of the Glenfiddich distillery that is aged only in American ex-Bourben barrels, in contrast to the classic 12-year-old, some of which is also aged in sherry barrels. This expression is exclusive to the Israeli market! American oak barrels give the whiskey a combination of flavors of sweetness and dryness. In the nose a delicate sweetness of butter and caramel candies, to it are added spices like cinnamon and dry wood aroma. The palate begins with a sweetness that is replaced by wood and dry spices, green apple peels, with a slightly earthy feel and a long and delicate finish. ~ Master of Malt
