This is the first release from independent whisky bottler Fable Whisky, and the team has picked a cracking Caol Ila to lead things off! The whisky was distilled on Islay back in April 2009, and aged in a single hogshead for 12 years until it was handsomely bottled in May 2021 with an outturn of 288 bottles. Fable's labels (that's a pleasing expression to say) are all very snazzy indeed, with the first eleven releases showing character and scenes from the story of 'The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay', designed by artist Hugo Cuellar.~ Master of Malt
