A wine cask finished Benromach whisky! This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2005 and left to mature initially in first-fill bourbon casks for six years. Following that, it was finished in wine casks from Hermitage appellation D'origine Controlee for 27 months, which has imparted a glowing ruby hue and a wealth of dark fruit notes. This blends well with the rich orange, chocolate and subtle smoke you so often find in Benromach whiskies. ~ Master of Malt
